Poonam Pandey’s death: Kangana Ranaut and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui among other celebrities paid tribute to the late actor-model.
On Friday, Poonam Pandey’s official Instagram account shared a post about her death, saying that the model-actress died of cervical cancer. Poonam’s manager Parul Chawla also confirmed the news of the actor-model’s death to ANI. Soon after, tributes began pouring in on social media for Poonam, who reportedly died on Thursday in her hometown of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

While her Lock Up co-contestant Munawar Faruqui said he couldn’t “process” the news of Poonam’s death, the reality show’s judge, actor Kangana Ranaut, described the news as “sad”. Kangana took to Instagram stories and wrote, “This is so sad. Losing a young woman to cancer is a catastrophe. Om Shanti.”
Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui tweeted: “Shocking! I can’t process the message. Poonam was a great person. Sad. RIP.”” Actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt also reached out to “My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends and everyone whose lives she has impacted.” Actress Karanvir Bohra also tweeted: “Still in disbelief.” Poonam Pandey, I pray this news is not true.”

Actor Karan Kundrra said, “OMG! I had no idea about it. How did that happen? It is very sad and heartbreaking news. I just have to call a few people now.”
Speaking to India Today, actor Rakhi Sawant’s ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani said, “The last time I met Poonam was at an award function where we both won an award.” Two days ago, she was also seen by the paparazzi. She was always so happy that you couldn’t tell that she was battling cancer. I had no idea she would go through something like this. I saw her 4 or 5 times and she was always very happy.”
